that stuff is fish safe. whats good stuff to use for puting tanks together. i have a old tank and all the sealent is bad and the tank glass pices came off. whats a good thing to buy to rebulid the tank. strong. what do the pros use. will this ge type 1 work. sorry to join in on your thread waldo u just broght up a good question

yes GE type1 will work just fine.

Make sure it says for window and door(blue and white tube I believe). The tub and tile has the mildewcides in it(red and white tube). The spout designates the color of the silicone, so make sure it's clear.

GE type I or II will work. Type I gives off acedic acid, smells like vinegar and is said to be slightly stronger. Type II is not as harmful when you breath it and still has good strength.

Ge type 1 window and door is the most popular to use and I have used it many times with good results even though it says on it not for aquariums
