Oh yeah, you read right I got half a bottle of milk in my tank. My little niece just thought the fish were hungry. Its a half a bottle of milk all the fish are dead and I am wondering about the plants. Do you think that plants are fine, need a wash? or should I just toss them out.

Plants are Java Fern, Anubias and Dwarf Sag

Tell me what you think.

Dead?! Wow. I wouldn't have suspected milk as a lethal additive to an aquarium! Sorry for your loss. Give the plants a few days (and water changes) and see. And get that niece punished.

She's too cute to punish, shes only one and loves to watch me feed the fish. Cant do it!

I expect the plants are fine. The milk probably initiated an ammonia spike- lethal to fish, tasty to plants.

Just rinse/ clean the plants very well first before placeing them back into the tank . But make sure you clean the whole tank , gravel and filter(s) , Ect too .
