Milk snake eye problems

I recently aquired a milk snake of a buddy and it came with problems with its eye, i think its to do with a bad previous shed. i took it to my local reptile store and they didnt know diddly squat, its started to get worse and its eye is half shut with a large scale surrounding it looking affected to. i have been bathing it often and it has been laying in its water bowl. can anyone diagnose the problem?? i will try my best to get pics as its now at my girlfriends house.

Hi,take it to your local vet.

what color is the scale on its eye?
it may be a large mite
and the snake is in its water bowl trying to drown them.
but then theres the eye cap problem too.

I agree that it may be mites. Could even be mulitiple stuck sheds. I would put the snake on newspaper and check the water dish for mites. A picture would be great.
