Small town near Toronto
I went on vacation at miller lake in north Canada and saw a 5 inch minnow that schooled and has stripes, sorry I can't describe them better!
I don't intend on keeping them anytime soon, but they truly perplexed me!
Anyone know what they are?

We'll probably need a better description than that. Were the stripes vertical or horizontal? Just a couple stripes or a lot? Any idea of the head/mouth shape?

How many "miller lakes" could there be in Canada? Care to provide a bit more location detail as well as fish description? Habits?

Sorry I don't know too much.

Shallow water

Miller lake near wiarton ON (HOME OF THE GROUNDHOG!!!)

three green stripes going along their bodies, dark brown everywhere else (I think)

I didn't great a great side view of them, only
when they went for bugs on the surface

I would guess Fundulus diphanus (banded killifish). Just a guess based on location and habitat. The description isn't right but you can search for pics of them and see if they look right.
