compares to the size of the dat,i have 4 2/3inch IT in a 83gallon tank,it's fine for some years,but when hit the 12inch,i got buy a bigger tank.

180 gal smaller tanks will stun their growth... bigger tanks let me grow faster

180 for a afult and the smallest species is the silver.

NTT and AT both max out around 12".

You could keep a single NTT or AT in a 75gallon (foot print 4'x18") for life assuming filtration is sufficient. Bigger is always better though.

I've got a 205 gal 60 x 30 x 26 footprint with a 10 in RTG in it. 70 gal sump filter with 1200GPH return pump (all though I have a spare which is bigger), I am considering a dat to go with it.
I presume they'll compete for food?
