i love oscars and have 4 now 2 babies and a 11 inch and a 8 inch. I tookin the two larger ones today as the last owner no longer wanted them. the two larger ones are in their own tank and the 2 small guys in another. anyway here is my question.... i want to be able to combine the two tanks when the others are larger and need to know what i can get away with for tank size and what whould be ideal. i live on a secound floor of a house so i can't go to crazy in tank size (no 300 gal...lol) anyway thanks in advance.

i'd say bigger like a 220/240, if you wanted them in one tank...

but since size is an issue what about 2 125/150 on opposite sided of the house?

I agree that 180 gal is enough water volume to meet their bio-needs… and a 150 with high maintenance could also…

But I feel it is exceptionally unlikely that 4 adult Oscars would tolerate each other in a 180 gal…
I have a 300 gal Rubbermaid stock tank that I wanted to use as an indoor Oscar pond. I started with 8 Oscars and ended with 3 as adults… all died due to aggression from other Oscars…

I'd say 130-180, depending on filtration.
