Hi fellow MFK'ers, I keep getting mixed info online about keeping stingrays so I figured what better place to ask than here. I'm sort of skirting around the Idea of a 2nd tank & the only real thing aside from my future african tank; that is persistant in my thoughts, is owning a stingray. I am interested in P. Leopoldi in particular, out of all the rays I know of it is my absolute favourite. I would like to know what it would take to properly maintain a pair of them. They would possibly be the only thing in the aquarium. So far I'm looking into using a 120g by oceanic that has these measurements 48" x 24" x 24" I would simply like to know if that is enough, or should I think bigger. I thoroughly understand that this species is not only sensitive, but expensive so if I decide to do it later on, I would be willing to provide the best accommodations I could afford.

Thanks, Justin

36" WIDE at a min for life. that tank would work for a year or 2 for 2 juveniles.

Would that be custom? I haven't really seen any aquariums that have that width.

36" is a pretty standard size, not really custom.

What would it be though? like a 200g?
