I've always been fascinated with the universe, the immense size of it, the distances involved and the breathtaking beauty.

One well known bit of trivia which totally intrigues me is the fact that there are more stars in the universe than single grains of sand on every desert and beach on earth. If that's not mind blowing enough just then imagine that the distance between each of those stars (grains of sand), is measured in light years!!! And one light year is roughly 9.5 trillion kilometers. That would be all the grains of sand on planet earth with at least 9.5 trillion kilometers between each one. And that's just 1 light year distance between them. In reality stars can be tens, hundreds, hell, even millions of light years apart.

Are you getting the picture yet?

Really makes you wonder what else is out there, nothing, aliens, other universes?

There's got to be something out there, no shadow of a doubt. And I don't mean simple singular celled bacteria or what not. Thing is we'll never be able to travel far enough to find out. Alpha centuri is the nearest star system to us at a tad over 4 light years away, in universe talk that is absolutely nothing, yet it's just under 40 TRILLION kilometers!!! Scientists have discovered a couple of potentially habitable planets orbiting in the "goldilocks" zone around alpha centuri. Current technology would get us there in about 70000 years!!!

Physically, even at light speed it would take that long, it would only seem like a few years to us.
At least even bacteria proves that complex life could/did/will exist.
If aliens ever did visit though, I doubt it would be in peace, if they come all the way here, bye bye earth.
There just has to be life out there somewhere though.
Maybe we already discovered it...
Last September people joked about an Area 51 raid
The pentagon confirmed they take UFO reports seriously
Trump creates space force
Somethings up...?

My dad worked first in the USAF Strategic Air Command, and later Aerospace Command.
He programmed computers to track foreign rockets with radar, so they could be shot down.
It was his career and it brought him a Congressional Commendation.

It's not all hush-hush because of hollywood alien monsters threatening Earth.
Aliens are just FUD. Also a coverup for secret things that crash. Ours and Foreign.

We don't talk about foreign spy planes etc that crashed here.
Nobody wants the public to know they could ever get here.
We don't want foreigners to know we recovered their spy gear.
We don't want our satellites disturbed, nor kinetic attacks from orbit.

They branched Aerospace Command for administrative reasons. They called it "Space Force" so it sounds appealing to young scientists and astronauts, and it was always in response to foreign advances. Not some angry Green Aliens.

They'd like the public to believe it's about bug eyed monsters, rather than the truth.
Politicians have a poor grasp of the truth, even when it's not about rocket science.
