Mini flowerhorn project

Hi I’m looking for some advice on breeding a miniature flowerhorn. I have a female SRD that kills everything. I attempted to breed a very large convict male with her once and she killed him after a day or two of being together. I’m also raising up some green Texas, some electric blue Jack Dempseys and some Red Devils.
I’d like to breed the convict size, flower horn shape ,electric blue coloration and flowerhorn pearling down the line. Any suggestions?

Select a male with the desired traits: convict size, flowerhorn shape, electric blue color, and pearling. Introduce them gradually, monitor closely, and provide hiding spots. Patience and selective breeding will help achieve your goals over time.
