mini monster fishing

i live near a lake where there is barely any fishes besides small perch and some small bass (6-7in at max). i took my nephue out for the first time and he caught 7 perch. me and my girlfriend caught quite a few perch and i caught some rock bass, as well as 2 largemouth yesterday. my girlfriend also caught a decent sized western painted turtle. ive seen and fed bigger ones out there though.

Are perch bottom fish?

nope. but you can catch them on the bottom. if your targeting them bobber and worm is best.

Yeah I think thats what im going to do. I think im going to go to Candlewood or Highland to get a few small rock bass
