Mini monster hunts fingers.....

Nice fish, i have been thinking of getting one of those for my next tank.

I dont think thats a bad video at all. Your Sculpin always look so good....have you thought about breeding him/her?

hah its kinda jerky at points.. i think i laugh once..cuz my kitten is attacking my hand...^_^

And yes i have thought about breeding..if you look at the video there are acutely, about 7-9 baby sculpin...some mottled some having markers for a mix of banded/mottled or maybe even mottled slimy... not sure yet the babies range from 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch... im going to see who doesn't get eaten (if any) and try for breeders like that, if all turn in to food (witch was the plan)..than ill try catching a male where i got her last year (and the babies this year)..hopefully by then ill have a bigger tank up to try and breed in..i think my 55gl would be great, possibly, a few females and one male. There is not a lot of info and breeding these guys, but i really want to try!

Im pritty sure mine is a female given the length of time iv had her and her size (females stay smaller)...soo thats we shall see in time shes about oohh 2 1/2 inches..(was under an inch when i got her) should get to 3.5-6 MAX mostly near the 3.5-4 range for females.

Very cool, Im sure someone has done it.....but I havent heard of anyone breeding Sculpins.

Yah i can find stuff on there breeding habits in the wild... so i think ill just have to go off of that, but for now i don't have room to set up my 55 and my lil Sculpin just isent quite breeding age ^_^ but when that happens (and i have more space) im going to try !

Ill try to get a feeding vid next time i put in some guppies, fun to watch her hunt..or devourer chopped up night crawlers

dose not seem to be to may Sculpin keepers here on MFK...they are a rather tiny monster compared to almost every thing on the site lol

There are people posting questions about breeding guppies in the breeding section. This is way more monster than that, so you can chill out.

Breeding would be sweet...my lil smb (about an inch) loves to eat from my hands now and bites pretty much everything that comes into my tank.

Going to get bowfin and longnose/shortnose hybrid gars the first tuesday in august! More mini monsters for me!
