I recently set up a 15G hex tank in my 7 month old son Clifford's room. I wanted to stock it with something that would stay small enough to be able to live in the tank long-term. They also needed to be bright enough to capture a baby's attention.
What I decided on was Glofish.
For those that don't know what a Glofish is:
They started out as Zebra Danios. They were created by inserting jellyfish genetic material into the Danios. They were trying to create a fish that could act as a living pollution monitor and ended up with these day-glow fish! (Somebody correct me if I got anything wrong, but that is the story as I was told) .
There are also a couple of spotted Corys as cleanup crew. The filtration is an Eheim 2213 and Prefilter Module.
The photos are the best I could get (I need a better camera
) but they don't really show the intense glowing effect of these fish under a blue-spectrum bulb!
