Minimum acrylic tank size

So I've been doing the math, an 180 acrylic is gonna cost ~$700-800, while a 300 is ~$1100-1200. Seems like 300 gallon and up is when I would actually save money vs buying a used tank.

Where you getting those prices?!?! There are some great deals on used tanks out there if you are patient but I cant say a new tank is ever cheaper than used unless we are talking under 55g petco dollar per gallon sale
