Can anyone help with some BIo wheel specs?

I am looking to add some filtration to my 120 gallon. I was think of a HOB to supplement my canister, however I have limited clearance behind the tank (3.5") as such I have rulled out the AC 110, but suspect I may be able to squeeze in the Emperor Bio wheel 400.

What is the minimum clearance needed between tank and wall for the 400?

Thanks in advance.

I will go measure, but it would just move the tank forward an inch or 2 during a waterchange... I did it by myself with my 75g so you and someone else should be able to do the 120g.

4.5 inches... It shouldn't be too hard to move it that much. You should like the 400, I do. They are durable and do not get loud when taken care of. I just clean the impeller and coat with burts bees lip balm on the spring and fall equinoxes. It works well and keeps it in tip top shape.

I love the biowheels on this filter, but I would never use the cartridges. I use blue bonded pads (2 on each side) and it is chock full of scrubbies. I also have a pack of purigen that I got as a freebie at a fish auction. I do not know if it does anything... I think I am a little too under-stocked for me to notice (nitrates never hit 5ppm).

Thanks for the information. I handn't thought allot about moving due to the weight of the stand, rock etc. However it is on hardwood and will likely slide with big water change.
Thanks again for measuring.
