Hello,
What is the minimum pond liner thickness for a pond that is going to house rays? Also, for a pond that is going to be 8'x3'x1' what size liner should I be purchasing? thanks

I would think that any standard pond liner would be ok for rays. I have never heard of one puncturing a liner.

On a different note....is there any reason why you are only making it 1 foot deep? Rays like to climb the sides and I wouldn't think that would be deep enough. And you certainly wouldn't want to come home to one of your rays on the floor. I think 2 feet is really the bare minimum....but thats just my 2 cents. Good luck.

I'm kind of tossing around a few ideas now as to what I want. I thought I was going to have to buy like a 60 mil liner(which are very expensive) to make sure that the stingrays don't puncture the lining-but now learning that I can use any liner I can afford to make a much bigger pond. I'm looking into making a large DIY wet dry and getting a bigger pond.

yeah i agree the chances of a ray puncturing the liner would be very small

also i agree with the hight issue if yo could go deeper then that would be great.

yea i agree 2ft should be the minimum for a ray....
