My tank got ich and my blue tang is showing the most spots but I just lost a coral beauty today. So i read a few things and it says to QT the fish and treat them and let the tank sit fallow for 6 weeks. What is the minimum QT tank size for a 5" blue tang, 5" fox face, 3 inch diamond goby, a 4" yellow tang, 2 clowns and 4 chromis??

Petco is having $1/g sale and hoping a 20 long might do...

it all really depends on how comfortable you are with it. i would say smallest would be a thirty but if you wanna try the 20 go ahead.

A 20 long should be ok, but if you're willing to spend the extra $10 at Petco then I'd say 30, just like Sikoko ahead of me. You just have a pretty big size fish list, and as you know Tangs to excrete a lot of waste, and you have two of them :WHOA:.

well when I called Petco they said it was only 10, 20 and 40 breeders that were on sale... Thus why I was leaning toward a 20. However I think i'm going to just freshwater dip my blue tang and feed garlic and vitamin enriched foods. From what i've read that should be fine as Tangs are known for attracting parasites

get two 20 gallon tanks then. Or the 40 gallon breeder would work also. Its always better to have plenty of room than not enough.
this way you always have a QT tank for what ever you need it for...

The issue is I dont have the space for it. I live in an apartment and have a son who is 1 1/5 and another on the way. I don't have any extra space to just have empty tanks...

see if there are any other stores near you most stores include the 29's

Anyway to put the tank under the tank you have now. If you dont have alot of room, might just have to go with a 10 gallon or something that will fit under your tank you have now.

When does the sale go off at petco?
