hi am no expert in these kinds of "saber tusk fish" but I am very interested in buying one. i think there are various kinds like the saber tusks, payara, armatus etc. what whould be the minimum tank size for the smallest kind of these fish? Good tank mates with a 7 inch red wolf fish and a 4.5 inch senegal bichir?

The fish that I think you are referring to are rather slow growers,except for the armatus but they all grow to at least twelve inches in length if they live long enough.A tank size of 55 to 75 would be a good growout but ther bigger the better.
