What is the minimum space needed gallon wise for 2 pumpkinseeds?

A 55 is probably about minimum, however putting just 2 sunfish in a tank together is probably gonna cause issues with aggression.

I had 4 bluegills and a redear in a 125g and the read ear always harassed the blues and even stressed one to death. Each fish has its own personality so the bigger the better. I also had a small rock bass in there but he hid and steared clear of the larger fish.
