Minimum tank size for jags?

a female would probably be able to live her life in a 75 minimum without outgrowing it.tankmates may or may not be possible

I keep my pair in a 4x2x2 but they move around to the 6x2 and other tanks quite often.

4x2 imo is enough for a single female-male else the male does get very large.

5x2 would be ideal

6x2 for a pair.

My pair only works in the 4x2 because the female can bash the male up so when he turns into a bully shes beats him.

75 for female. 90 for male. 180 for pair. Depending on individual fish of course. Depending on genes, I've seen some very large males.

+1 . had a friend who kept a pair in a 200g since they were about 6" he kept the water quality good and everything and the male didnt get over 12" but he was mean as heck...so genes do play a big part in this
