search.

this topic has been brought up many times already

I agree, and it usually ends up in a heated debate/arguement.

I would say for and adult jardini a 6' x 2' x 2' which is a standard 180 gallon tank. I'm sure though it could be in the 125G for quite a few years, but eventually will grow long enough that it will have a hard time turning around in the 125g.

i agree with bderick. this topic is so debatable it always ends in heated arguements LOL. me n bderick know that first hand.

try to get a tank atleast 2ft wide, wider if possible. you could always raise one in a smaller tank for a few years, but eventually it will need the larger tank to turn around.

they grow pretty fast. it will be fine in a 125 for a while. but bigger tank is always better for the comfort of the jar.

honestly i would say its ok for a jar to be in a 4x2x2 tank, but like bderick and ethnics have mentioned... its a very debatable subject and ends up in a heated subject. its your choice, just dont stick the jar in a 50 gallon and expect him to be happy in there.

I second a 4x2x2 for life, then you're just limited to the number of tankmates ... but aren't you always with a jar? ;)
