Minimum Tank Size For Ornate Bichir

I am looking into purchasing an ornate bichir, but wanted to know the minimum tank size for them. I have a 120 gallon at the moment, but will the ornate be able to live in it for life? If not, I have a 300 gallon that will be set up in a month or two.

It’ll be fine in a 120g for a while. 150g or bigger is about right. If the 300g can be setup then can move it in there.

For a single one you can possibly do a 48 x 24 x 24 (120 gallon) if you filter heavily and keep up with water changes.
