Minimum tank size

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
A 75 would be ideal, and then you could do a pair or one male with some clown loaches/Pictus cats/giant danios or silver dollars, etc..

you live in new york, so space is an issue... i'd go with aclockworkorange's suggestion but you can include one of those awful hex tanks. i personally kept a chocolate in a 55 hex for a really long time. i hate hex tanks they are awful things and i had 2. still stuck with a 40 hex

i figured a 75 would be best. but like drey said im tight on space do you think i could get away with him happily in a 65 gal (36 x 18 x 24). same width as a 75 but would fit the 3 foot space i have for a larger tank, i appreciate everyone advice i'd just like to see what you all have to say about the 65 idea. he currently lives in a 37 and hes about 4 1/2 inchs with some other fish but im gunna remove them when he gets too large. I wanna upgrade around January, cause hes still comfortable now and ill have the extra help setting it up then.

Yeah a 65 gallon isnt exactly animal abuse for one chocofish
