minnow trap bait

what is a good minnow trap bait, especially if i'm targeting perch?

I've never caught perch in a minnow trap, but I use dry dog food for other fish.

Dog food, cat food, bread, bologna.

Tuna fish in a can, poke a bunch of holes in it to let out the smell, fishies come runnin!

I've been using minnow traps for awhile and only ever caught two small bluegill while using tuna. I've tried every bait imaginable and I've never caught anything else. Really frustrating -__-

saltine crackers, fish food, dog food, worms, shrimp

white or yellow perch?
