H ~ did you get your large tank finished?
We've had 1 minuano about a year - think it's a male - about 6". Raised in a community tank, doesn't terrorize it's tankmates. Unique beak-shaped mouth with black lower-lip 'spot', yellowish fins. Active, curious & "friendly" Pike, sort of a 'happy face'.
Another pic on 'fish-list' @ mainlycichlids.com [spelled minuao].

p.s. ~ I know someone who may want your tapajos red male....

Finally get to see you posting some pictures! bout time!! I KNOW you got in those sp. 'atabapo' from Rapps, now you need to post them up, as noone else has yet! ;)

The minuano almost reminds me of celidochilus, except not quite as nice...haha.

Mt. Pike thanks for the picks of the minuano. I have not even begun the large tank-been busy making stone things for $$...but hopefully it wont be too long till I get to it. I gave the Tapajos to Jconely's fish store last week.
Yesw PP is quite right... with all those lovely crenicichla you raise so well you need to post more pics!

Glad ya like the 'scratches' Taz ~ gotta love the auto-focus! YES ~ we have some older tanks, lighting + angle really show the scrapes!

We really like our C. minuano - he's relatively 'laid-back', curious & active, medium size, plus uncommon head shape. Does well in the community tank!
This fish is in almost perfect condition - a testimony to not being bullied or messed-with, -- in show-fish shape. our Pikes hold their own & generally 'rule' their tanks {esp. the bigger ones}

Totally off subject, but I just figured out who you remind me off!! The BIG LABOWSKI!! haha! I saw a part of it and it totally reminded me of you!! Cracked me up!! Keep the pictures coming! Still waiting on the sp. 'atabapo' you got this week!! We wanna see some FIRE!! ;)
