i have two three and a half foot mud sumps with fresh water mud from usa and thinking of doing a 700g set up next.seabray is making my next tank probably on site but i have to go thro a fish shop retailer to get it made it was his idea last time and he said do it again i had to wait for mud to come over from usa . is it a waste of money what would i use the space for instead i had lots of big lava rock and matix for bacteria to grow on, i allways had no am/nitrite only nitrate but on constant over flow on an ro feed....sounds like a waste of time then ...!
Hi candle, sorry cant help with the mud thing but id like to know this too but onto your new tank, have you tried just ringing seabray up for a quote? I dont know how much your shop will be adding on but i just rang them up and the woman said they dont normally deal with the public but she would do my tank, put it this way they wont turn down business in this economic climate unless they are stupid. Also have you tried nd aquatics and boss, they both gave me a better price than seabray, think it was something like £150 cheaper.
i rang direct with my last tank 2 years ago and they said they would not deal with me i had to use a fish shop so i dident bother ringing them this time!
Hi candle,i think i must be the recession thats changed them when ive rang because nobody in their right mind would turn down what must be something like a 3k tank,i should try them again bud for the cost of a phone call you could save £££££££ from what the shop is charging you'
just found my quote it was for a 96 x 30 x 30 with two weirs and 3 holes and a double base for £795 and this was around july time.
