Mirror Aquarium backing

I hear people talking about paint. My 29 gallon is in a window, even tough no direct sun, algae is an issue.

I hate to block the window, but if I must is not a mirror a good option? The Illusion of a tank, twice as big?

Im not a fan of the mirror background. Fish end up chasing themselves all day long and is overall not pleasing to look at imo.

Consider a uv sterilizer if youre really concerned about algae.

Let the algae grow and add a pair of nerite snails

I second the nerite snails option. I have about 20 in my tank along with 5 lucipinnis and I rarely if ever have to clean any algae in the tank.
