missing dragon goby!!

Is the tank well covered? Are there any places inside the tank where it could have buried itself or hide out of your sight?
How large is the larger one? I sort of doubt that it ate the smaller one, but they are very territorial and one might kill the other.

i found him under a large clam shell in the sand

They really can't hurt each other. They don't have anything to fight with. They more or less just wriggle against each other trying to shove one another around, but they can't really inflict much damage.
 
Where did you get it from? I'm in San Diego and looking for DGz

Have yours ever bitten each other or locked jaws? There's a video of two doing that on Youtube. Also, in another thread (in this forum I think) someone was having problems with a mature violet goby biting its smaller tankmate. The smaller goby eventually died.
