One of my clown loach has gone missing. I've checked everywhere, all nooks and crannies of bog wood, under rocks, lids secure so there's no way its jumped out, it hasn't accidently been sucked down into my sump, it's just plain gone! I do have a 7" RTGG, and four 4" tinfoils and all i can think is that it's been eaten by one of these. I realise that a lot of non meat eating fish occasionally can surprise and turn fish eaters. Do you think this is the case? When i stocked my tank all my fish were tiny but obviously the tinfoils and RTGG are growing rapidly whilst my clowns and balas are being left behind growth wise. Is there a real danger of my other clowns facing the same fate?

It was about 2". A fat 2" though, all my clowns range from 2-4" and are all chunky little barrels. Plus they have the eye spike to put off any fish who fancies a mouthful. And even the mouth of my biggest fish, the RTGG, dosen't seem big enough to eat one. It's not rotting anywhere neither, no off smells or spikes in water parameters. It's a mystery.

Any holes or nooks & crannies in your wood, if so, I'll bet you'll find it in there. On two occasions when moving tanks I had loaches drop out of the wood couple of minutes after removing it from the tank, luckily I saw it and they survived.
