I have finally done it.. I will infact sleep a little bit better now. I have successfully re-written my payara's biology and converted him to prepared food (Krill). To my piscivore friends you know how challenging this can be especially with payara. It's been a long 6-7 months. The reward I'm feeling right now is incredible. Here is Vladimir guys (vlad) heres to a healthy life

A combination of starvation period,But when I did feed live, I'd drop in a fish, then drop in krill, repeat. The last 2 months or so I went 20+ days before live. Mind you everyday I'm dropping in prepared food for my gar, so hes been seeing him eat prepared for a long time. I was letting krill in the tank via the fish net he saw the live coming out of, because anytime he saw the net, he would get squirrelly so he knew it meant food
I tried the fishing line thing, it worked the first time I dangled it and he spit it out immediately, I continued that method for a few months. Hes not stupid that's for sure. I feel like if you can get your fish to continue eating prep after that your lucky. It was good for 1 bite for me. I switched things up weekly but ultimately it was the starvation periods and the gar eating infront of him

Great job with the conversion! Don’t want to rain on your parade. Also try and make sure it gets on some other prepared foods. Shrimp only diet isn’t the best. Stuff with broken pellets or soak in vitachem.

Never raining brother I am very appreciative and open to helpful methods and ways to better my hobby skills. This started 2 days ago so I'm definitely going to move forward with getting onto others foods, I'm going to have to look into that vitachem stuff
