Hey guys , i have a question

My silver is around 9 inches with no tank mates other than three yellow snails , i have noticed that the fins of silver looks broken in some areas , can it be that is always hanging close to the heater and is getting burned?

fin rot fo'sho.......red marking on the edges is a sign of fin rot.
