Would a yellow tail acei, a yellow lab, and a rusty cichlid all be ok mbunas to put in peacock and hap tank? I really like these mbuna and I know they are on the more docile side when it comes to mbuna.

I think those are 3 great choices. Definitely 3 of my favorite Mbuna for mixing with haps and peacocks. I have had great success with mixed Malawi tanks. I currently have full grown acei, demasoni, yellow labs, and a few zebras mixed with various male haps and peacocks in a 125. Everything is doing great, and I have not had any aggression problems for almost 2 years. My only issue is staying on top of the nitrates, lol.
Keep in mind not everyone has success keeping mbuna with haps/peacocks. I would use dwarf mbuna if you feel the urge to add some and only 1m1f of each variety.

I have put Peacocks in my mbuna tank and they always get killed. I do not know who is killing them. So I'm turning my 125gal into a peacock and hap only tank. But I have heard that yellow labs do well with peacocks.
