I have a Tigrinus catfish about 3 inch and a black arowana that is 3 inches as well. I would think to wait in till the aro was a two or three inches larger then the tig befor mixing them, but I would like to know other people's opinion. Looking for a friendly response please, thank you.

The aro eats 2pinhead crickets 2x a day and the tig eats a good size feeder guppies 2x a day, so I know the tig wouldn't be able to eat the aro but I just don't want him to try and then I lose both of them. But I know there eyes can be larger then thier stomach.

All good during the day but at night, that tig will hunt and put that aroe in its mouth. Same size doesn't mean anything to fish. If the tigs mouth is big enough then your arow will be no more.

Yeah I think I was going to wait a little longer to fatten up the aro. But still good to know. When I do mix them I was thinking about putting them In a larger tank. Would that help at all?

That aro will be gone the first night.

Wait untill it grows. Then you will have an awesome combo.

I hope it works! I have a lei and a tig, both about 5". They are in separate tanks now, but plan on both of them going in the 240 in another 2-3 inches. One lives at the top, the other at the bottom. I believe by the time they are mixed it will be ok. heck, I am looking at a 50-75% increase in size before it happens.

Yeah, it wasn't going to happen over night but when do you think it would be ok? I was thinking when the aros Gerth is larger than the tigs mouth. What do you guys think?
