Just wondering if hybrid tanks are an option, I want to build a bunch of decent sized tanks (between 1,500 litres and 3000 litres) and don't really need to see through more than one side. I was thinking of making the base and 3 sides out of grey or black acrylic and the front from glass. Is this a reasonable option? Thanks for any advice.....

I doubt you will find an adhesive that will bond glass to acrylic and those are some big tanks so I would not take the risk.

I think it would be a far better option to go all acrylic or all glass, at least you will know it will stay together.

weld-on doesn't stick to glass, and silicone doesn't stick well to acrylic. I suppose if you created a wood frame you could secure both types to that, but I believe the general consensus is that you can't mix the two.
