I currently have a school of 7 tiger barbs (and growing) as dithers for my cichlids. I was wondering if a school of Buenos Aires Tetras would be able to share a tank with them? The tank will be 5 or 6 feet long. Thanks all

You can with tiger barbs. They are slightly nippy as well. They aren't as hardy as the bigger barbs but will do.

I imagine all will end up beat up or killed by ur cichlids though. Not sure what cichlids you have.

So far the cichlids don't pay much mind to them, but if violence does happen down the road then they'll be moved. The cichlids are a JD, FM, GT, and Carpintis

I never actually witnessed it happen myself but you'll just start waking up and finding dithers dead and everything was normal the day before.......it doesn't matter, molly, platy, guppy, barbs, danios, ....,eventually they all look like the same thing to cichlids = food. Gone through dozens and never saw a kill once. Always just found them here and there. They do stuff just BECAUSE they know you're not watching. Cichlids are sneaky.....they are smarter than we may give them credit for.
