Mixing bichirs

So what's everybody think about putting 2 ornate bichir's 8" - 10" in a 125 with a Jardini? 8" would I be looking for trouble?

I know Jars have a reputation of being pretty brutal on their tankmates, but you can give it a try and keep an eye on them.

i agree, Jars are crazy fish, one of my friend had one with with a few poly's and it wud attack them when they went up for air at the surface

I don't see why not. I'd be worry more about the two ornates fighting for territorial than the jardini attacking them.

i would make sure you have the means to seperate them if things go bad - birchirs are pretty much bullet-proof however the long term effects of stress from constant attacks from the jar is a major health risk - like i said make sure you have the means to seperate them. good luck
