Is it okay to mix my 5'' tiger botias and 8'' cichlids (JD & GT) with plenty of cover? The botias are TERRORIZING my other tank. Meanest fish iv'e ever come across..

Also the GT can't attack them as he doesn't have a bottom lip.. :(

I have a couple of questions which might help to answer your question. First, how big of a tank are you planning on keeping these fish together in? Second, how many tiger botias do you have? And third, how big are your JD and GT?

Given enough space and adequate size for the cichlids, they should mix fine. I have 3 4" tiger botias in a 100 with a 5" GT and they get along fine. In fact, the botias really only bother themselves and feeder goldfish.

40 gallon... for a week til I get my 180 cycled. :D The JD and GT are about 8''. :( I know the tank is too small...... I just need to get those botias out of there. There is plenty of cover... Again, I'm not worried about the GT doing anything as he has no bottom jaw.
BTW there are 2 botias. Can't seem to find more.. How big do these guys get?

Nobody? I kinda need an answer pretty soon because the botias are tormenting everything in the other tank.

Some of those guys can grow 8- 10's but slow-owly. They can be aggressive. I have a 75 gallon with 5 clown loaches, 2 kubotais, one tiger and 1 yo yo and an unitentified loach. And a bichir AND a GT. Plus an angel fish. Oh, and a synodontis cat and a black ghost. Also a 5" "chinese algae eater." & some cory cats (busy place!) The tiger botia is def. the most aggressive. The GT is is def. king o' the tank (That's what he thinks, anyway). They all get along pretty well though. I'm surprised the GT does not really bother anything, even the angel fish!

Ok, I figured they would be fine but what about the size difference? Botias are king of skinny.. To test agression I threw a 1 half inch feeder in there and nothing happened...

I kinda need to do it today before they kill everything. :( Any help?

I think it depends which botia. Skunk Botia are aggressive toward other loaches I have heard. Any opinions or experience in keeping burmese botia with clowns? I am considering a purchase.

Green tiger botias are often tank bullies to the point of killing other fish, they need room and will still harrass similar sized fish, especially bottom dwellers, the GT and Jd are tough and large enough to have a good chance of being left alone.

Just go for it dude, be remember that the tigers will get LARGE...and with size comes more aggression. they are pimp fish though, so i would keep them for sure! Put them in the tank, give your other fish a break until the 180 is up and running.
