Mixing clowns?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No.

Clowns of the same species will pair off, or at least tolerate each other, if introduced to a tank when they are young as one will become the dominate female.

Mixed species will simply beat each other to death.

i always thought it depended on the breed of each clownfish.

It does...if not given tons of room different species of clowns will attempt to claim a territory. The bigger one will then kill the smaller one.

Some are more aggressive than others, but in this scenario you are going to have aggression regardless.

can you mix a pair of occellaris with a pair of pink skunks in a 120g tank?
