Hi,

Would there be a problem mixing red wigglers with another species of earthworms? I have a few red wigglers maybe around 40 of them and wanted to add them to other earthworms. Thx

I don't think I'd try it. They have different feeding, habitat, and care requirements. They might survive, but they wouldn't thrive. I only keep red wigglers myself, but I know the setup is different than what you would use for nightcrawlers.

What would the set up be for nightcrawlers? I already got a set up for the red wigglers. I just need more worms and might prefer bigger worms for my fish now. Either way I ,ook at it though I need to add more worms.

They'll be fine... I have a bin in my basement that has red wigglers, earthworms and nightcrawlers. The earthworms breed slowly and only need corn meal for nourishment. The nightcrawlers won't breed very easily in captivity, takes forever, but they will live happily in the bin until it's their "time". The red wigglers will multiply like crazy, eating anything organic you can give them ( make sure to include newspaper/cardboard in their diet )
