mixing fish??????

So I'm planning a monster (300 gallon) SA/CA comm. tank. I have a very nice Pollenii and would like to get a butti, they both attain around the same sizes as the other fish I'm planning, you guys think they'd be a good compatible mix?

If you could get it to work it would be a nice combo, however in my experience with buttis they may start of well with tankmates one day, but eventually they snap. My last one did well with a bunch of pbass, the day introduced a few more he went bananas! Good luck, they are great fish!

I have found that with polleni they have the same basic water requirements and demeanor as SA/CAs. They do fall short on physical make up though, when i had mine lip lock with either a equal size JD or RD(not sure which didn't see it happen) his lower lip was partially ripped off.

i have a butti and hes pretty calm so far. he or shie is about 10 inches and in with a bunch of other sa/ca cichlids and havent had any problems with it yet but alot of guys on here say theres are downright terrors so your going to have to take your chance on a mean one or calm one. good luck.
