How much of a disparity can there be between the sizes of gars when mixing them? I know that it seems like a silly question for me to be asking, but I've never tried mixing gars that were more than 1" apart in size plus I imagine that others who are new to gars might find the information useful.

Anyway, I was thinking of moving my 9" Florida gar in with my 12" spotted gar and 13" Cuban gar. I currently have the Florida gar in a 55 gallon aquarium with a 12" rope fish and a 7" peacock eel while the spotted gar and Cuban gar share a 75 gallon aquarium with no other tankmates. I can always move the Florida gar back to the 55 gallon if need be, but I would prefer to not attempt this combination if I'll just have to move the Florida gar right back.

Do you think that this combination will work or should I wait until the Florida gar adds a few more inches?

most conservative bet would be to wait, but as long as everyone is well-fed you shouldn't have to worry about outright predation with gars that size. i have CBGs of about that size disparity together in one of the holding tanks and they are fine. if it were mixing smallish gars with even somewhat larger gators i would be much more cautious, but in this case i think you will be fine--

Okay, sounds good to me. I figured that it would work, but I wanted to get some other opinions just to be safe.

The two bigger gars are being fed daily, so they're definitely well-fed, and the Florida gar has feeders available at all times. I'm hoping that the Florida gar will learn to eat pellets after living with the other two gars for a little bit. I think that I'll give this a try in the morning after feeding time for the two bigger gars.

yeah, the FLG should hopefully learn from the others relatively quickly. in fact, we are going to throw in my roommate's stubborn FLG (wild specimen that i was done with in terms of our research project with the fish) with about 15 similarly-sized CBGs to get it to learn to take krill/pellets!--

I've put Gars together that were about half the length of the largest ones.
Right now, my small Trop is 7 inches or so, and the big one is a foot long. The largest FLG is 14 inches long.
