here's my stock list:
6 Congo Tetras
6 Filament Barbs
4 Geo steindachneri., 2 males/ 2 females I think, from observation of size, color and prehumps.
3 Incan Stone fish “Tahuantinsuyoa Macantzatza”
4 Julii corys
6 Albino Aeneus corys
2 bristle nose plecos
1 L14 goldie pleco

Either the group or Tetras or Barbs and a group of the corys will probally be moved to another tank in the future.
I have them in a over filtered 6'X18" 110 gal..
Do you think I could add another species of Geophagus to this set up or should I stick to the G. steindachneri ?

I think you could easily add some more Geo's. My only concern is that you have 10 cory's and geo's. That will be a lot of fish feeding from the bottom. Most Geo's will learn to eat in the mid levels of the tank, but you need to watch them close and make sure everyone is getting some food.

Pindares are tough, stay small and not very aggressive. They would be my choice.

I think the mix of fish you have now sounds great. My concern would be that adding the other Geos, you would then just have a large group of fish on the bottom, where now I think you likely get to see them moving around the tank in a more natural fashion.

IMO you could add them, but why?

You have 32 fish now, and 1/3 of them will obtain a decent length when full grown. I give it a thumbs down on getting new inhabitants unless some of the current fish are moved to another tank.

Sounds like a very nice and active tank already! :)

I have a bunch of (14) Loaches in my 75 with my GO (10) G.alfie "Green". As stated, you are pushing the limit with Bottom Feeders, but I use NLS Cichlid and that goes straight to the bottom for all of them. If your talking adults. It's a bit much, and when mine get some size, they will all be moving to a 6' 125.

Mixing Geos is no Problem, usually, but I would not mix a 'G'. brasiliensis complex with a nice and mellow Tap II "Peachface"

IMHO....

Sounds like nice tank you have going!

Nuthman~

:D

i don't see a problem as long as you avoid the more delicate geos since steinies can be a little more aggressive than most of the non-brasiliensis geos

Steineys are tough, That is for sure, much harder then my Tap II's were! Others would say Tap II's are tough, but my Peach Face were not.....again, this is just 1 dudes experience....

IMHO....
