both are about a foot in size.
i know that jars are aggressive
but if i put the datnoids, i hear they are very head strong fish and other even aggresive fish dont tend to bother them, what you think?

the tank also has 2 small tinfoil barbs, 1 small spotten metynis, 1 flagtail prochilodus

not a huge tank, also, its only temporary, 6 months time i will take out allt he othre fish

if not then ill find alternative housing i guess.. but just wondreing what the concensus is

I don't have exp. w/ dats. But, my Jar is AGRO!!!! I wish you all the luck. Probably it is best to be ready to remove whomever is new to the tank for a while, or have a divider ready. Sounds like a cool mix though.

I had my jardini/pearl aro in with a ST(datnoid) for a couple months when they were both under 8" or so; always playing/fighting until one day they both would not stop........subsiquently they got separated and the "pearl" lives alone.(now @20" )

IMO. comm. a jardini is trial and trial....better to do "solo",less heartpain involved.

i curently have a small 2.5" indo with my 9" Jar ...no problems here...planing on adding more Dats ;)

I'd say it's always trial and error with Jars.

yea i also have my 12inch jar with a 3inch dat no problems at all
