Mixing natives

Looking to set up my 55g tank with a few locals. Have had a few sunnies, channel cats & LMB.

Have a hankering for rock bass & perch & maybe a pickerel any concerns with them being bad tank mates?

Pickerel may go after sunfish when they get larger, rock bass and small yellow perch should be alright though.

I also would be worried that the rockbass would bully the pickerel

rockbass are hardcore fish, but they can be alright, as for channels and lmbs you won't be able to keep them in a 55 for life

Tank space is your biggest issue. A pickerel if it's a chain pickerel will grow to large. Look for grass or redfin pickerel, they reach about a foot. They would require the tank to themsleves. The same can be said of rockbass and perch, a single specimen of both at adult size would require the entire tank. Have you thought about doing a community of smaller natives?

I would forget the channel cats and go with bullheads.
