The following was also posted in the PIKE forum also:
I posted this quite awhile ago and didn't get much response in either the PIKE forum or the POLY forum so I will post in both.
I asked if anyone has had experience with Pikes and Polys as tank mates. My cobra (female) has in the past really shown her 'attitude' with tankmates to the point where I was going to stop trying all together.
Well another member here was looking for a stand for his 180gal and I had to to get rid of, also by chance he was looking to get rid of some Delhezi's. I told him I would trade tank for del's he was happy to trade (2) del's (1-6" and 1-7" approx.) he even threw in a Poly seng (5-6").
Now I must say I was probably getting lucky throwing 3 new tank mates and not just one. If I lost one I figured it would be the Seng at worst and would be able to pull him out if anything got crazy.
I am happy to say there have been almost zero dust-ups. Only thing I have seen is when Del's start to 'dig' or 'bury' themselves in sand substrate Mz. Queen Cobra goes ape-**** and doesn't know what the hell is going on --- she even starts to almost 'gum' at the top of Del/sand. Del will move on and Cobra still thinks something is under there buried.
Only other dust up with cobra since new additions was Banded Leoporanus. Nipped the Del's tail fins pretty quick and started to get pounded by Cobra. Cobra is now approx. 11-12" and Banded Leop was approx. 8-9". Leop was probably going to push Mz. Queen one time too many.
Well hope it helps any out there who may try this, could be me just getting lucky also.
