Just wondering if anyone had anyluck with mixing serra brandtii with pygo ternetzi.. I currently have a cohad with 3 terns and 1 brandtii..the brandtii being atleast two inches larger then terns. After the first hour of dominance fighting they stopped. Besides the occasional fin nipping i find there to be no aggression between them. The Brandtii runs the 3 terns, eating first and making sure that he stays incharge. But i have seen the same behavior from the dominant pygo in a pygo shaol. What do you guys think? i will try to post pics as soon as possible

Get the seperate ASAP

I will work for hours, days, weeks, etc....but will be eating and killing soon or later. Save your self some money, time, and nice fish like that

Will not work. Serra and pygo don't mix

How attached are you to the P's !?
I had a cohab of Reds and a gold/mac that worked for two months Then I sold the mac because people say it will not work , I got my money back out of the mac , I did not notes any big problems (they were all about 6-7inches)

If I had the money to toss out I would try all kinds of crazy cohabs and I bet
I would find some to work and some to fail .
30% sucuess 70% fail would be the ratio I THINK .
Do ya feel lucky ? lol .

i stopped by h20 today and they made me a black acrylic divider to fit my tank.. they cant see eachother anymore beacuse i doint want anything to happen to my brandtii he is my favorite fish.. the divider looks like the tank is two seperate tanks and is removavble at any time..theyt did a great job

Good call on the divider, that combo would NOT last.

To sum up what everyone here has said in on word: "NOOOOOOOOOOOO."

Do NOT try this. Any serrasalmus species (except Serrasalmus Geryi) will not cohab with each other in anything short of a 300 gallon tank, and even then I wouldn't try it.
