ive been lookin for a cichlid about 5-8 inches to be the last "piece of the puzzle" for my tank. i like the Hondoran Red Points but i already have a female Convict. would they be a smart choice 2 have in the same tank? i dont want deaths/ breeding (convict breeding gets outa control)... if not then what would b a good pick?
i already have
- dempsey
- convict
- salvini
- green sev

try adding a nicarguense or some geophagus red humps or something. what size is your tank?

80 gal, i really like the geos, but arent they a little soft for a cichlid tank? i thought they were more community, nicarguense are cool too but cant find any, ive been looking

If all of the fish are still juveniles it could work. Rescape the tank when you throw in the HRP to cut down a bit on territory issues.

My geo iporangensis hold their own, reds heads were the same when i had them
