I have a pair of convicts and a blood parrot in my 55 gallon tank right now.
- There aren't any signs of aggression, sometimes maybe territorial behavior might kick in but nothing serious. My male convict is about 3.5" and my female is about 2.5". As for my blood parrot, hes about 2.5" as well.

Im considering about giving awawy my gouramis and just having a cichlid tank (with my clown knife, 4 CL's and my sun cat).

Could anyone give me possibilities if i could throw in another type of cichlid if i were to go through with this?

A pair of Convicts, Blood parrot, 4 CLs, Clown Knife, and a Sun Cat in a 55 is enough already. You will not be able to keep these fish together long-term in this size tank. If they are all very small you could add a few small danios or barbs or corys but that's it. That sun cat will grow very fast.

Lol, i just wish i could see my sun cat daily like i do all my other fish. He's about 5" and LIVES in my hollowed out stump i have in my tank.
I rarely see him. Normally i'll see him a few times at night swimmin back n forth.

CLs grow too big for a 55 as well but you prob. know that already.

You can try Salvini, beautiful, mid-sized and will be able to fight back if the convicts bother em.

the clown knife will have to go due to size eventually

Actually all the "Clowns" will have to go.
CL are somewhat slow growers, but they will outgrow a 55G too.

This is one of the things that help me determine if I keep a fish. If I cant see it, it is a waste of tank space for me. I just got rid of an awesome JD recently because all it did was hide. Even my pleco is active and comes out all the time during the day, thats why he's still in there.

I was thinking about a salvini but i've never kept one before and i really dont know how aggresive they can be. Because my cons and blood parrot aren't really aggressive at all.

And yea, i've had my clown loaches for about a year (give or take) and my CK about a few months and mine are growing verryyy slow.

I agree 100% with the above post. If I can't see it, it might as well not exist. I also feel the same way about anything I have to special feed. I learned my lesson keeping Uau a. and plecos together. Total pain getting food to the pleco any time of day..

Current tank = over stocked, I would only add another species if it were replacing all current species. The salvini is a good suggestion if that were the case.
