mixing swordtails

is it possible to breed a male marigold swordtail with a different color of female swordtail such as a red wagtail or such?
 
Yep, they're all Xiphophorus helleri (maybe some others hybridized in, who knows). I've seen some pretty ugly sword strain crosses though. Very muddy orange and yellow/brown colors. Who knows, you might produce some nice ones though
 
i dont have any fry food. when the fry are birthed they go inside my angelfish bellies
 
Yeah I really wasn't serious. But still why breed swordtails when you're just going to feed them to your angels. You should use guppies for that. Anyway for a while I just crushed up flakes and they did fine.
 
ive added the female swordtails a few weeks ago, they came pregnant, so ill see how that goes.
