I was gonna' ask the same question. I just got myself an Afro and was wondering whether it could be kept with other arowanas?

keep it as in a comm...

I have 4 kelberi , 2 parrotfish , 2 pleco , 2 blue cichlid, 1 jaguar, 1 silver arrow oldest guy about 11-12" .. , 1 white jardini about 7" ...

im planning to put in a 5" rtg... i remember the white jardini was nibbling on the other pearl before it got eaten by rtc... removing rtc soon too. lol

jar's are known for aggression.... although you keep saying 'white' jardini? id be willing to bet that its just a jar that was or is in a white tank. I've not heard of a variant of jardini.....

back to the subject..... It is possible ofcourse, given the correct space and if you have one of those uncommon jar's that tolerate tankmates. You would have to go into it knowing that you are taking a substantial risk.

EDIT: pic of this white fella?? im very interested.

my camera is spoiled (iphone) i would have taken photo if i could .. coz i pick this up from a aquarium farm.. see they have 2 type of pearls... one is the dark color with yellow spots about 5" .. the other one is quite white but defintely not platinum coz there dark blue or greyish frame.. and the fins outter part is black... i try to take a pic tml morning with my mom fone .. :) im quite not knowledgable about jardini type or perhaps if i see one in youtube i link it here

i got a 5' jar from my lfs for free. apparently it doesnt eat, kind of pale and stays only at the bottom.. it stayed the same when i added the jar into my comm tank(3 7' silvers and a 10' red). however within a week, the jar went crazy and started chasing the others.. i had to give it back to the lfs.. i personally wont comm a jar.. things can get messy.

All Jardinis are the same except the color morphs, just some are kept in darker/lighter tank.

Yes they can, just depends on the individual fishes. The more fishes in the tank, the better the chance of them getting along in a community. Jardinis behave the same as asian arowanas when it comes to aggression.
