Who watched?

On UFC, I thought Silva was very good, but if it was up to me, he wouldn't fight in that weight class anymore, even if he can beat some guys.
Also, Brandon Vera showed that he is very skilled, and a good fighter, he just cant "seal the deal". If he knew how to finish he'd be considered as a lot better fighter.

On Affliction, I thought overall it was pretty good. It was cool to see some of those guys, but a few of them I dont really want to see again, like Matt Lindland. He won, but I think I lost for having to watch it. I thought Babaloo would show better, but he might be done too. Arlovski was great, as I expected he would be, and Barnett was pretty good too. I still don't get how ARN was allowed to fight, on account of him being the UFC champ and all... And that other fight was pretty good too.......FEDOR! He proved that he is far above all but a few fighters in the world, I just hope they get the Coture fight to happen.

Not to derail, but did you watch outside the lines on sunday morning about children in MMA?

i'm surprised more people aren't responding. I rented Affliction and recorded UFC to watch later. I was getting pretty t.o.'d with the UFC event when they repeatedly said Silva was the best fighter in the world. I'm sure Fedor could get down to 205 if he wanted and fight Silva there or Silva could easily gain enough weight on his skinny frame to make it up to heavweight, lol.

I was a little disappointed with affliction until the end of course. I didn't like the band,........... i thought it took up valuable time, they should show more fights and cut out the live band performance. but i see what they are trying to do. I think a lot of the fights were set up to have a winner already. For example I thoght Josh would win, Andrei would win, Matt Lindland would win, and others as well.

But Fedor showed again why I'm a big fan of his

And I also liked the Ultimate Fight Night, Anderson can take the 205 belt in my opinion. Chuck says in a recent interview that he would be too much for Anderson but I beg the differ. I think Chuck has plateaued and Anderson would take him out. Anderson is staying away from the 205 title for now because him and Machida are friends but if Machida were to lose a title shot I think Anderson would be all over it

I couldn't hear the broadcast because I was at BWW's and they had the Tigers game on, but normally they say the best "pound for pound" fighter. I think there is an argument for both Silva and Fedor, but I also think it's crazy that they don't mention GSP everytime they talk about one of these guys, he is just as good as they are, in his class of course.

I agree the band was terrible, by far the worst part of the night, and I couldn't even hear them that well. I think Affliction was just doing some name dropping and the outcomes were pretty much a given, but at least they got guys who have experience.

I don't think Silva would be able to go through 205 as easy as you do. That is the deepest class in MMA and as good as he is, he'd be out of his league.

you forgot about dream! if my boy eddie alverez did get injured, he would have won, fosho

overall afflication was good for a first event. i'm sure the production value will get better as they go. they need to strengthen the other weigh classes. i heard a rumor GSP may be defecting.........

recorded ufc. to be honest, i didn't even watch it yet LOL

that's something we're just gonna have to wait and see if anderson can hang with 205'ers or not.

he fought there before, did fine this weekend and he'll do it again i'm sure

I think either Eddie, Hanson or Aoki could easily have taken the GP
